Heat treatment is the process by which metal/steel parts are completely or partially exposed to a time-temperature sequence to alter mechanical and/or corrosive properties. There are many application areas, such as:
 
• annealing, hardening, tempering, aging, surface hardening
 
In order to obtain higher material strength, better wear resistance or improve the corrosion behavior of components. All these processes need to be as high as 1.000 ℃ or higher temperature and the furnace specially developed in order to achieve such a range.
 
Vacuum annealing
 
Annealing is a heat treatment that involves heating to a specified temperature, slowly holding and cooling. These processes are often used to obtain the softer structure of the component and to optimize the material structure for subsequent work steps (machining, forming). The parameters depend on the material and the desired structure.
 
Vacuum quenching and tempering
 
Hardening heat treatment process is a typical, heated to certain temperature combined (most of above 900 ° C), and rapid cooling or quenching parts directly. Selection requires partial or complete transformation of the material into martensite. The parts are tempered after hardening to obtain high ductility and toughness.
 
True empty case hardened
 
One of the important processes is surface hardening or carburizing.
