Roots fan is a volumetric fan, impeller end, front and rear end caps of the fan. The principle is a rotary compressor which compresses and conveys gas by relative motion of two blade rotors in the cylinder. The blower has the advantages of simple structure, convenient manufacture, suitable for gas transmission and pressure in low pressure situations, and can be used as a vacuum pump.
Roots blower is composed of four parts: casing, wallboard, impeller, import and export muffler, etc.
Shell: Mainly used to support wallboard, impeller, muffler and fixed function.
Wallboard: Mainly used to connect the chassis and impeller, and support the rotation of impeller, as well as the effect of end sealing.
Impeller: It is the rotating part of Roots blower. It is divided into two and three leaves. However, because the three leaves have many advantages, such as less air pulsation, less noise and smooth operation, it has gradually replaced the two-leaf Roots blower.
Muffler: To reduce the noise caused by the air pulsation in and out of Roots blower.
Roots fan is a kind of volumetric fan. There are two three-blade impellers rotating relatively in the space sealed by the shell and wall. Because each impeller is processed by involute or cycloid envelope, the three blades of each impeller are identical, and the two impellers are identical, which greatly reduces the processing difficulty. When the impeller is processed, numerical control equipment is used to ensure that the center distance of the two impellers remains unchanged. Under this condition, no matter where the two impellers rotate, a certain minimum clearance can be maintained to ensure that the gas leakage is within the allowable range. Two impellers rotate in opposite direction. Because the gap between impeller and impeller, impeller and casing, impeller and wall is very small, the air intake is in a vacuum state. Under the action of atmospheric pressure, air enters the air intake chamber. Then, two blades of each impeller form a sealing chamber with wall panels and casing. During the process of impeller rotation, the air in the air intake chamber is subjected to two blades. The sealed chamber is continuously brought to the exhaust chamber, and because the impellers in the exhaust chamber mesh with each other, the air between the two blades is squeezed out. Thus, the air is continuously transported from the intake to the outlet, which is the whole working process of Roots blower.
