Roots blower This equipment is conveying gas, gas inevitably contains some tar. Roots blower has increased the resistance of the equipment because of the tar attached to it after long-term operation. In addition, Roots blower is started when the valve is fully open, and tar resistance is greater in colder conditions, so Roots blower is a typical heavy start load.
The 6kV high voltage circuit breaker of the original system is directly sent to the motor without any other soft lifting equipment. The high voltage motor is directly connected with Roots blower by back wheel. Because the equipment is heavy-duty start-up, and the resistance of tar in cold state is very large, the starting current of direct start-up is large, which is easy to cause circuit breaker tripping, and it needs multiple closing to start. It also needs to heat Roots blower with high temperature steam before starting. In addition, direct start-up may affect the internal air gap of Roots blower. Because of the large selection of Roots blower, the power plant often does not need Roots blower to operate at full load, so the blower has to turn on the return valve, resulting in low efficiency and serious waste of the blower. In order to improve the operation efficiency of the gas compressor, the factory leaders decided to reform the equipment by studying and adding two sets of soft lifting equipment with speed regulation function.
