Assembly steps of impeller of liquid ring vacuum pump


1. When the impeller is assembled on the axle, the end face of the impeller must be within the allowable range. The axial clearance between impeller and front and rear cover is very small (for example, SZ-1 and SZ-2 are 0, 15 mm, SZ-3 are 0, 20 mm, SZ-4 are 0, 25 mm). Excessive end runout will lead to eccentric wear between impeller and front and rear cover, which will not only make the liquid ring vacuum pump heating, increase power consumption, but also increase end clearance, increase the leakage of compressed zone gas through end clearance, and reduce volume efficiency.


2. The size of end runout depends not only on the shape error of the end surface, but also on whether the impeller of the liquid ring vacuum pump is properly assembled on the shaft. For this reason, the application force is even when assembling, and the shaft holes and shafts should not be damaged. After the impeller is mounted on the shaft, besides the end-face runout should meet the requirements, the unbalance of the impeller should also be checked.


3. Although the impeller of liquid ring vacuum pump requires symmetrical distribution in design, due to other defects such as air holes and shrinkage holes in casting and uneven distribution of mass in non-machined parts, the centroid and rotation center of impeller do not coincide, resulting in additional centrifugal force or force couple when the impeller rotates, which causes vibration of the unit. This kind of vibration is very harmful. It makes the parts inside the pump loose and the force acting on the bearing uneven. As a result, the bearing is eccentrically worn and damaged prematurely. In addition, if the vibration frequency is equal to the natural vibration frequency of the pump or foundation, resonance will occur, and the vacuum pump unit or foundation will be damaged when resonance occurs. Therefore, measuring and eliminating the unbalanced force of impeller is one of the most important steps in assembly and repair of liquid ring vacuum pump.


It is very important to assemble properly the impeller of liquid ring vacuum pump. If the impeller is not properly assembled, it will lead to the vibration of the vacuum pump and cause some damage to the vacuum pump. In the assembly, we must pay attention to avoid such a situation.
