The oil diffusion pump uses an oil vapor ejector to blow away the gas molecules.
The oil diffusion pump uses the high-speed and high-density oil vapor jet from the nozzle to provide momentum to the gas molecules entering from the air inlet, so as to discharge the gas molecules. The jet also prevents gas molecules from flowing back into the inlet.

It has simple structure and high pumping performance. The oil diffusion pump consists of a boiler for heating oil and generating steam, an umbrella nozzle (nozzle) for spraying steam in a given direction, and a cold side wall for condensing steam. Despite its simple structure, it is famous for its high pumping speed. This pump can not be used alone, but must be combined with oil rotary vacuum pump.
Advantages: simple structure, high pump speed.
Disadvantage: there is oil vapor returning from the nozzle to the high vacuum side.

Exhaust with supersonic steam. The oil at the bottom of the pump is heated by the heater and turned into steam. At the speed of supersonic jet, it is ejected from the upper part to the lower part, and the steam is ejected from the upper part. The discharged oil vapor is cooled and condensed in the inner wall and turns into oil and returns to the heating part.
