Vacuum quenching heat treatment process
Vacuum heat treatment can be used for annealing, degassing, solid solution heat treatment, quenching, tempering and precipitation hardening. It can also be used for chemical heat treatment when suitable medium is introduced. Vacuum quenching heat treatment is a process of heat treatment of metal workpiece under 1 atmosphere (i.e. under negative pressure).
Vacuum quenching oil is a kind of deep refined mineral oil based oil, which is blended with various functional additives. It is suitable for the quenching process of medium and small-sized materials or materials with good hardenability under vacuum conditions. Vacuum quenching oil is mainly used in machinery manufacturing industry.
The water cooling device of vacuum quenching furnace, the shell, cover, conductive disposal of electric heating elements (water-cooled electrode) and heat insulation of intermediate vacuum of vacuum heat treatment furnace all work in vacuum and heating state. In this extremely disadvantageous condition, it is necessary to ensure that the structure of each component is not deformed and damaged, and that the vacuum sealing ring is not too hot or burnt. Therefore, each component should be equipped with water cooling device according to different conditions to ensure that the vacuum heat treatment furnace can operate normally and has sufficient service life.
