Vacuum Furnace Cooling System

Vacuum Furnace Cooling system is an important part of vacuum furnace.

Cooling water should be kept clear, otherwise the water temperature will rise and cause shutdown. This is often overlooked in the operation of vacuum furnaces. When unmanned, it may lead to significant damage to vacuum furnaces. The purpose of treating cooling water by chemical assistant method of biodegradation is to keep minerals in suspension state and reduce the accumulation of sediments in rubber pipes, snake pipes and water jackets so as to make the water flow smoothly. This is usually accomplished by an automatic device, which can monitor the conductivity of water, automatically supplement chemicals, flush the waterway and add fresh water. With the auxiliary steam filtration system, this method can also ensure the pH control of water and prevent the deposition of excess minerals in the cooling water system. After the system is stable, water quality tests should be conducted at least once a month to prevent overtreatment or inappropriate treatment. The test samples of vacuum furnace shell and heat exchanger material should also be placed in the water system, and the weight loss test should be done once a year to check the effect of the treatment. Special attention must be paid to the serpentine tube cooler of the diffusion pump. They should be checked regularly. If blocked, the diffuser pump will overheat and lose its function, and further cause the diffuser heater to burn down, resulting in expensive and time-consuming repair. When the serpentine cooling pipe is blocked, the water channel is disconnected from the water source, and the drainage is blown through with compressed air or washed with dilute acetic acid solution.


The key is to do a good job of emergency measures for power outage, and the control cabinet should have power emergency shutdown device. We must take precautions against blackouts.
In case of sudden power failure, the generator can be used to pump cooling water, or the vacuum furnace can be cooled by flushing nitrogen gas. Prevent the vacuum furnace from overheating and damaging the sealing ring due to power failure. The circulating water system of vacuum furnace is strictly forbidden to shut off water. The pressure of cooling water must be in accordance with the pressure at the cooling water inlet of rated pressure equipment: 0.15-0.3 MPa, and the flow rate is about 30 m3/h. The inlet temperature is less than 32 C, the recommended main pump allocation head is about 50m, and the flow rate is about 30m3/h. Pools and cooling towers are needed. Compressed air source: 0.4-0.8 MPa, flow rate: 1 m3/h. Vacuum furnace because of the installation of water temperature, water pressure and flow relays, when abnormal conditions should be able to power off, and timely alarm.


The vacuum pumping system of the vacuum furnace is equipped with automatic valves interlocking with power supply, which can shut off the pumping pipeline in case of power failure and prevent air and vacuum pump oil from entering the furnace.
