Rotary Vacuum Pump Used in Food Vacuum Packaging
For many food manufacturers, energy-efficient vacuum supply systems for food packaging are increasingly regarded as the basis of economic processes. More importantly, it is necessary to inspect the whole packaging process, not just the vacuum technology.
Vacuum technology is used to pack fresh food in single-room packaging machine, pallet sealing machine or thermoforming packaging machine. Vacuum supply system
Vacuum pump is the core part of vacuum supply system of packaging machine. It is responsible for extracting air from vacuum chamber and ensuring that the pre-defined packing pressure can be achieved as quickly and reliably as possible before packaging is sealed. Rotary vane vacuum pump is usually used for vacuum chamber. For many years, relying on vacuum pump series, vacuum pump and vacuum system, the vacuum supply standard of packaging machine has been established, and the standard has been continuously developed and improved. This kind of vacuum pump can save 20% energy consumption.
For example, if a thermoforming packaging machine is equipped with a new vacuum pump, the annual electricity cost saved in two-shift operation can reach about 1500 euros (electricity price = 0.18 euros/kWh).
Rotary vane vacuum pump product series is specially designed for food vacuum packaging. Because of its smooth surface, inclined surface and automatic drainage design, it can be easily cleaned. The shell does not have radiator. All maintenance parts are installed on the operating side, and only one air/oil heat exchanger needs to be replaced, so the maintenance workload can be greatly reduced. This means that a lot of maintenance costs can be saved.
Reducing heat load
Usually, waste heat generated by vacuum pump will have a negative impact on the temperature inside the packaging machine. These waste heat can not only be greatly reduced, but also be used.
The air/oil heat exchanger of rotary vane vacuum pump can greatly reduce waste heat, so it can reduce the energy cost of air conditioning. In addition, heat exchangers can be used to heat water, and vice versa, these hot water can also be used during operation. Rotary vane vacuum pump can be equipped with heat exchanger.
If four packers are used in one packing room and each packer is equipped with a R5 rotary vane vacuum pump with motor power up to 5.5 kW, the total cooling power required is about 6.0 kW. If the vacuum pump runs with the heat exchanger, the cooling power consumption required can be reduced to about 1.5 kW. Within 4500 hours/year running time, assuming the price of electricity is 0.18 Euro/kW, the annual cost of electricity consumption can be saved to about 3700 Euro.
