Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Troubleshooting
1. Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Fault Phenomenon : Low Vacuum
The causes are: (1) leakage of pipeline flange; (2) leakage of packing box of shaft seal; (3) excessive clearance between impeller and end cover; (4) gas accumulation in exhaust pipeline; (5) insufficient water injection or excessive water temperature.
Removal methods: (1) tightening flange bolts or replacing sealing rings; (2) replacing packing or compacting packing; (3) adjusting clearance, 0.15mm for small and medium-sized pumps; (4) repairing or replacing the corresponding pumping pipeline; (5) increasing water supply flow or lowering water intake temperature, so that water temperature does not exceed 40 C.
2. Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Fault Phenomenon: Insufficient Pumping Speed
The causes are: (1) insufficient pump speed: (2) pump speed is lower than rated value; (3) excessive clearance between impeller and end cover; (4) air leakage at packing; (5) other air leakage; (6) insufficient water supply and excessive water temperature.
Exclusion methods: (1) check whether the power supply voltage is normal; (2) check the motor or voltage; (3) adjust the gap; (4) adjust the packing cover or replace the packing; (5) check the flange and shaft seal of the pipeline; (6) increase the water supply or reduce the water temperature.
3. Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Fault Phenomenon: Difficult Start-up
The causes are: (1) long shutdown, rust of the parts inside the machine; (2) hard and dry packing of the shaft seal; (3) friction of the parts inside the pump.
Exclusion methods: (1) Slowly rotating coupling or dismantling pump cleaning; (2) Replacing filler; (3) Replacing relevant parts.
4. Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Fault Phenomenon: Heating of Bearing and Packing Box
The causes are: (1) inadequate precision or incorrect assembly of individual parts; (2) excessive lubrication oil, too little or poor quality; (3) foreign body entering bearing chamber; (4) insufficient water supply; (5) too tight packing of shaft seal; (6) skewed rotor; (7) bending of shaft.
Exclusion methods: (1) replacement of parts or reassembly; (2) proper butter to make its volume occupy 2/3 of the injection space; (3) exclusion of foreign bodies; (4) increase water; (5) appropriate loosening of fillers; (6) adjustment; (7) alignment.
5. Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Fault Phenomenon: Excessive Vibration
The causes are: (1) the pump shaft is not concentric with the motor shaft; (2) the deformation or wear of the pump shaft is too large; (3) the impeller or other parts are loose; (4) there are foreign bodies in the pump; (5) the rotating part is unbalanced; (6) the anchor screw is loose; (7) the parts are not assembled correctly.
Exclusion methods: (1) adjusting concentricity; (2) straightening or replacing; (3) tightening solid parts; (4) removing foreign bodies; (5) doing balance test; (6) tightening foot; (7) refitting.
