How to Solve the Bearing Heating of Vacuum Pump

What about bearing heating during operation of vacuum pump?


Because the vacuum pump will be formed under the condition of high-speed operation, the bearing heating supporting the rotor will be formed if the rotor speed is too fast. Usually there are several reasons for bearing overheating during the operation of vacuum pump.


1.valve slice cracking


When a valve piece cracks, the pressure on both sides of the impeller will be unbalanced, and the axial force will occur on the rotor, which will aggravate the load on the bearing, and the temperature of the bearing will rise if the bearing runs for a long time. In this case, the valve disc should be replaced in time.


2. Shaft end seal failure


When the seal disc at the end of the shaft is damaged or the sealing water channel is blocked, air will be drawn into the pump body from these damaged slots, which will form the pump's suction and exhaust performance. If only one side seal fails, the pressure on both sides of the impeller will be unbalanced and the axial force on the rotor will occur, which will aggravate the bearing load and increase the bearing temperature.


3. Excessive preload of bearing


This situation will promote bearing clearance reduction or no clearance, forming bearing heating.


4 .sensational impact


When the sensation of the pump body or bearing is large, it will appear that the bearing temperature is too high. Look at the pump body to find out the cause of sensation and eliminate the sensation, then the bearing temperature will recover.


5.Smooth Representation


If the increase of smooth grease is too large or too small, or the type of smooth grease does not conform to the requirement, the bearing will be heated if the smooth grease is polluted for too long. At this moment, we should check the type of smooth grease, inquire about the appropriate amount of manufacturer, adjust the smooth grease to recover bearing temperature.


6. Bearing damage


The bearing roll body and bearing cage will be damaged with the appearance of bearing overheating. It is necessary to replace new bearings in time for bearing damage.
