Application of Vacuum Pump in Plastic Industry
Vacuum technology can be applied to various procedures in plastic industry, such as degassing, drying and transmission. Application of vacuum pump in plastic industry: extruder degassing, vacuum forming, EPS foaming, drying, pneumatic conveying device.
Application of Vacuum Pump
During the processing, the thermoplastic melts in the extruder and degasses in the threaded part of the extruder. VOLM vacuum device is used to extract gas and steam from the melt. All low molecular weight substances were extracted to obtain the best quality of thermoplastic, with smooth shape, higher strength, better insulation performance and lower gas generation rate.
Shaping platform (section)
The continuous profile of the plastic material melted and degassed in the extruder enters the shaping table. Typically, these profiles are in tubes, or in various technical profiles such as windows, slots and medical pipes. The plastic material is pulled into the mould. In order to cool and lubricate, a water film is formed between the inner part of the plastic mould and the continuous working parts, and the air is pumped stably by VOLM vacuum pump.
At different stages of production, plastic spherical materials must be transferred from one location to another (e.g. from storage tanks to dryers). It can be realized automatically by using pneumatic conveying device and can be speeded up. The pipeline is connected to the VOLM vacuum pump or compressor from the starting point to the end point.
The air in the pipeline is "loaded" to transport materials - it can stir leaves, or have typhoon strength, or even lift roofs from houses, as compared with hurricanes, depending on wind speed. According to the weight of the goods and the length of the pipeline, the design of the system can make the intensity of the VOLM typhoon, and even lift the roof from the house. Because the pneumatic conveyor used to transfer plastic spherical materials produces a lot of dust, we recommend the use of filtration system.
