 Introduction to active metal vacuum arc remelting furnace:


 Active metal vacuum arc remelting is a special equipment used to smelt active metals like titanium. For this kind of low density non-dense electrode, the furnace body itself needs to be equipped with longer feed rod stroke, and the crystallizer and furnace head need to design a larger volume to accommodate the whole electrode to melt into ingots. The vertical column design can make the bar and furnace head move separately. This design shortens the overall height of furnace body under the premise of ensuring the stroke of furnace head and furnace bar.

Application of reactive metal vacuum arc remelting furnace:


 Active metal Ti/Zr (titanium/zirconium), aircraft parts steam turbine parts and other refined precision casting VAC is to use rod metal materials as consumable electrode (negative electrode) and water-cooled crucible as positive electrode (ground electrode), both of which are placed under the vacuum state in the melting casting room. The vacuum arc furnace manufacturer said that when the electrode is supplied with low voltage and high current direct current, an arc discharge is generated between the two, and the consumable electrode is gradually melted into the crucible. In the process of smelting, with the help of the crucible's strict thermal balance, the molten material constantly forms its own solidification shell to keep the internal molten fluid free from pollution and achieve self-protection. After the smelting, the molten metal is poured into the mold to obtain the desired casting.

Features of reactive metal vacuum arc remelting furnace:


 Coaxial conductive structure: the stirring of uncontrollable magnetic field is minimized
 X-y electrode alignment system, improve spindle mass
 The pump or dry pump system can be used
 Closed-loop water-saving cooling system or crystallizer cooling water circulation system
 Fully automated operation; Once the furnace body is activated, the whole process is fully automatic until the hot cap is completed.
 Full set of safety protection system, including argon backfill, overpressure safety valve and PLC safety control
 Single motor rod drive
 Accurate melting speed control is carried out by weighing sensor
 No hydraulic system - all motors are servo or pneumatic.
 The water jacket is equipped with stirring coil for process control
