The selection of vacuum pump is mainly based on the pumping rate and limit vacuum degree. It is not difficult to know that the limit vacuum degree is determined by the production process conditions. However, when selecting the vacuum pump, there is often a lack of data on the pumping capacity of the vacuum pump, so that there is nothing to do. Here are some calculation methods for reference.
The pumping volume of vacuum pump should include: non condensable gas released from the production process, dissolved air released from cooling water, equivalent level of saturated vapor pressure of fluid in the process, and air leaked from the loose connection between equipment and pipeline. However, because the amount of non condensable gas released in the process is generally very small and can be ignored, the key components are the last two.
The air leakage of vacuum system can be determined by one of the following four methods:
1. According to the total volume of vacuum system equipment and pipeline;
2. Equipment and pipe accessories assembled according to vacuum system;
Although this method is relatively conservative, the results obtained can adapt to the situation that the amount of air leakage fluctuates greatly, and it is suitable for operation.
3. It can also be calculated according to the joint length of vacuum equipment, pipeline and other accessories gasket, according to the air leakage of 0.05 ~ 0.07 [kg / h] per meter, and then double. If the system is equipped with dynamic sealing parts, the appropriate value should be added.

1. Pump installation
When the vacuum pump and compressor are installed, the installation surface must be horizontal and firmly installed with bolts through the hole at the bottom corner. In order to prevent welding slag from entering the vacuum pump during installation, a filter should be installed on the suction pipe during installation.
2. Installation of gas water separator
The air-water separator can be directly installed on the exhaust port of the vacuum pump and fixed firmly with bolts. The gas-water separator has a pipeline connected with the pump, which supplies the working water demand of the pump. The rest of the working water is supplied by the water supply pipe, and the size of the water supply is adjusted by the valve on the pipeline.
A check valve shall be installed on the intake pipe of the vacuum pump or compressor to prevent the water in the vacuum pump or compressor from returning to the system under the pressure of the exhaust pipe when it is stopped.
